HB 821 - This act requires the Missouri kidney program to administer a separate program to provide prescription drug and other assistance to organ transplant patients. The Missouri kidney program must establish guidelines similar to those currently in place for end stage renal disease patients. Participants must pay administrative costs. Efforts must be coordinated between the Missouri kidney program and the Department of Social Services to achieve cost effectiveness. Prescription drug assistance will be given first priority over appropriated funds.
